Surrounding a novice DJ, a crowd of young dancers meet each other for the first time. As they become aware of their surroundings, a new sound is starting to make itself heard. House music, the electronic potion served best loud and clear, takes control of the room - it is the Fall of 2018.

Province 44 truly begins as a student rebellion against the rigidness of Boston nightlife. Disappointed with the lack of opportunities for dancing and meeting new people, a group of untrammeled house-heads set out to create a party - a vision of what could be in a city where there is not.
The brand is simple and the party is fun: House music for the youth. What are at first organized house parties become underground events in spaces all around the city. As word spreads, the need for a new club room in Boston becomes evident.

11 TYLER STREET
THE CLUB ROOM
Up a few flight of stairs lies the hidden gem of Chinatown. An old Chinese eatery turned club room, 11 Tyler Street represents everything we stand for.
Located in the center of Downtown Boston, Chinatown is easily the most active and fun part of town.
From its inception, Province 44 took inspiration in the DIY attitude that this neighborhood inspires. From our logo - which is based on the Chinese icon for longevity - to our underground sound, Chinatown's boldness has always inspired us.
